It has been a while since my last article that featured a motorcycle. Although I no longer own a motorcycle (for now) my passion for their aesthetic design and convenience, has not gone away.
When I saw this beautifully designed concept bike by Marko Petrovic, my enthusiasm was revived and just had to do a post on it, and only hope we will see something like it on our roads soon.
I know it is on my wish list…
About The Designer
Marko Petrovic is a 28 years old designer from Serbia. He completed a Masters in Transportation Design at Domus Academy (Milan) in 2009/2010.
After graduation he completed an internship at the Milan-based Changed Design Studio and worked with several design studios in the field of industrial, transportation (yacht design), product and fashion design.
The ARAC ZXS is a design study of a lightweight, aggressive bike in the street fighter segment. The bike combines an original body design, with a ultra light aluminum chassis and a massive V-twin motor.
The design is aggressive, with sharp lines and curves surrounding the engine compartment.
Marko Petrovic explains, “The idea was to create a body design that naturally continues through the whole frame giving the impression of a metal skin with two tone-color (in this case black and fire orange).”
The seating area is large and is designed for extra comfort.
The front headlight is made of light emitting recycled glass plates which give a distinctive appearance and provide optimal visibility.
An additional smart feature is the ‘safe drive’ system, which monitors speed and distance of other vehicles around, and in case of necessity can automatically activate the bikes braking system.
